Jim Morgan recently had several pieces included in Dallas’ Theatre Thee’s new musical revue, Ball Games, and in the LA hit revue, Naked Boys Singing at the Celebration Theatre. Naked Boys Singing has since been produced in New York City (now in its third year) Chicago (2nd year), San Francisco, Houston, Portland, Miami, and Provincetown. Internationally, it has played or is playing in London, Oslo, Cape Town, Sydney, Rome and soon to be Amsterdam, Brussels, Germany, and Toronto, Canada.

With composer Sheilah Rae he just finished the book and lyrics for Virtues!, a virtuous musical for children from 9 to 90, and Lovestories, a revue-based musical exploration of many different love stories and kinds of love throughout history.

Many of Jim’s lyrics are included in Sheila Davis’ three books on The Craft of Lyric Writing. He had been a longtime active participant in the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop. He was a member of the Dramatists Guild. He taught and directed in the Performing Arts Department at Middlesex County College in Edison, New Jersey. Jim passed away in September 2004.
